breakfast was one of the best! the choice was superb. quality of food was excellent. the dining room was pleasant. a very pleasant and helpful staff member served me!!! tea and coffee tray had a lovely choice of quality goods and an extra touch of home baking. it felt really special.
the bedroom was very warm and faced directly onto the main road. it was very noisy with the windows open or closed. made sleeping a little difficult. the hotel really needs to look at ways to mitigate the sound.

Acceptable Stay with Some Overlooked Details

old carpetslack of wardrobe
The lack of a proper wardrobe in the room was inconvenient. Pegs on the wall are not a suitable substitute for hanging clothes. the room's decor seemed rather tired, and the carpets showed significant wear and tear. These details detracted from the overall experience (a well kept room is crucial).
