The food was not great. i've had much better breakfasts elsewhere. The butcombe breakfast was small. a tiny slice of bacon and one mushroom slice was all i got. also, there was no overhead light in the bedroom. it was hard to read after dark.

spoiled milkinternet issue
i was looking forward to my stay, but a few things missed the mark. the milk provided in the tiny flask spoiled by morning, not great for coffee. plus, the internet kept cutting out, needing constant re-signing in near the bar. shower pressure lacked, and water temperature was less hot.
