excellent food and friendly staff

bev gave a warm welcome. staff were lovely. sean prepared excellent meals. the steak and ale pie was amazing!!! succulent chicken and gammon were cooked perfectly. breakfast was delicious too. i am definitely going back.
i wished the karaoke did not run until midnight, as it was difficult to sleep after a long journey.

this place is great for walks. local amenities are a short drive away. the inn is in a quiet location. a visit to the saxon church opposite the inn is a must.

The tv and settee added comfort (so relaxing!). Breakfast was superb with many options.
The toilet roll holder in the bathroom was broken. The coat-hook also was not working. I hoped for a slightly more modern restaurant menu.

My room had a thermostat. It allowed temperature control. Tasty food was available. I enjoyed the drinks selection at the bar. The bar was nicely decorated. The room was warm. It was also very clean. The meals had epic portions. The staff was pleasant. They were also helpful. Breakfast was great. There were plenty of choices. The staff was friendly. The chef was polite and friendly. I had a good experience.
