wonderful stay!

convenient location friendly staff spacious room

the location suited my needs perfectly as a solo female traveler. i found it convenient to access both halifax and sowerby bridge with only a short drive. the pub had a charming, nostalgic feel, complete with cask ales. the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were spacious and well kept.

I had a slight issue with the water pressure in the shower. It was a bit lower than i prefer.

The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring nearby attractions. I visited a historic site less than a mile away. several restaurants are within a five-minute drive, and public transportation is easily accessible from the front of the hotel.

the hotel offered complimentary tea and coffee in the room. also a fridge was available. free wifi was accessible throughout the building and i found it to be reliable. the parking lot provided ample space for vehicles.

warm welcome high standard easy check-in helpful landlady

the landlady offered a super helpful welcome. the room included recent refurbishment to a high standard, which i appreciated. i enjoyed my stay due to these factors. also, i had easy check in .

trying to get a vat receipt proved difficult after my stay! i have contacted them on multiple occasions with no resolution. this lack of documentation created an issue for my work reimbursements.

faulty tv staff intrusion

the room was beautiful and different from typical hotel rooms.

the tv was not set up, so i couldn't use it. the shower's water temperature was difficult to regulate. also, a staff member entered my room without knocking after i had already checked in

friendly welcome on-street parking vat receipt several excuses

The staff gave a friendly welcome. the location was perfect for my needs (i was going to an event nearby). on-street parking was right outside the building. It was very convenient.

i tried to get a vat receipt multiple times. i was given several excuses. i need this for work, so it caused me some trouble.
