train noise slamming doors
the location was good and the room size was acceptable.
i had a significant issue with noise. trains passed throughout the night and doors slammed during the evening. the constant noise made sleep difficult (it was quite disturbing).

The staff were friendly. the room was very clean. It had modern ensuite facilities. the restaurant provided everything we needed and it had reasonable prices. i found the sunday lunch to be the best i've had in years!
the gravel in the parking area felt a little precarious on my motorcycle.

helpful staff spacious room walk-in shower tasty meals
I found the staff helpful. They were courteous and nothing seemed too much trouble. the room offered ample space and featured good appointments. the shower room included a spacious walk-in shower, which i appreciated. the restaurant served fabulously tasty meals, though the portions were indeed quite generous.
The tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom felt basic. The kettle did not switch off automatically.

the staff, it was like staying with old friends. i found the premises very tidy, it had such a calming atmosphere. breakfast was delicious, with fresh ingredients and a good presentation.
the room was very slightly smaller than i had anticipated, but it was still very cozy.
