really good food first class breakfast comfortable bed slow service long order slow dishes
the food in the restaurant was really good. breakfast was first class. the rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
service was slow. it took around 20 minutes before they took my order. it also took at least the same amount of time until the dishes were served.

pleasant restaurant attentive staff clean accommodation
the staff were friendly. the accommodation was clean and well presented. evening meals were excellent, and breakfast in the pleasant restaurant was a treat.
i noticed a slight delay in service at one point.

wonderful pub stay
lovely room fluffy towels
the room was styled like a bungalow it was really lovely. i found it was clean and tidy plus coffee and tea facilities were available. soft fluffy bath towels were in the bathroom. the bed felt really comfortable.
i did find pre-ordering breakfast items the day before a minor issue. sometimes i do not know what i fancy in the morning so ordering the day before was slightly annoying.

the location worked well it was midway between national trust places i visited. parking was also very important to me plenty of parking was available onsite. it was ideal as a pub, restaurant with accommodation.

the staff was the best gemma was especially good at dinner. nothing was like too much trouble for her. the staff were always obliging and efficient with everything i asked for from them.

breakfast felt delicious plus there was plenty of choice on offer. the restaurant provided a superb menu including a choice of specials. the breakfasts were first class with very efficient staff.

the room was behind the restaurant within the courtyard car park. it was a quiet and large room plus it provided a tea and coffee tray. the bed was super comfortable i slept very well.

lovely escape
perfect location ground coffee comfortable bed separate block
i found the location suited my travel plans to grimsthorpe castle perfectly. the room provided coffee and a cafetière, a bonus for me. the bed was very comfortable.. i slept well. the room was in a separate block from the main building, so it was very quiet.
the speed of service felt a little slow. it took around twenty minutes before staff took our order.
