excellent stay!
generous hostsfirst class accommodationsubstantial breakfastslingering smell
liz and paul are really good hosts. nothing was like too much trouble for them. the accommodation was first class, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. even a tower extension lead with usb ports was provided. paul's breakfasts were substantial and kept me satisfied for most of the day!!!
i noticed a slight lingering smell of smoke in the entrance hall and corridors. i understand there are no smoking signs posted. this detracted a bit from the otherwise fresh environment.

breakfast included sausage, poached egg, and toast, followed by fruit and yoghurt. paul prepared the food. it was tasty!!! the pre-order system ensured meals were cooked to perfection.

excellent hostsbroken lampweak wi-fi
the room was clean and tidy. the hosts were excellent.
The bedside lamp did not work properly. i requested a replacement, but it never materialized. the lack of proper lighting made reading in bed difficult. the wi-fi signal was weak. It kept disconnecting.

The breakfast selection included fresh fruit. The cooked breakfast was amazing, I must say. Liz provided information about the hotel. She provided information about the surrounding area.
I noticed a smoke odour in the entrance hall. The corridors also had this smoke odour. This detracted from the experience. I found the staff smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. This unfortunately affected my stay somewhat.

The location was very convenient to get into town. There are many restaurants nearby. Liz and Paul were perfect hosts, they were very helpful. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The high ceilings were lovely.
The room was excellent, though the parking was a bit far.

the room was well-decorated and had everything i needed, including a fan.
i noticed a strong smell of smoke in the entrance hall and corridors despite the no smoking signs. the staff (i think) were heavy smokers as they also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. it unfortunately affected my stay.
