The lodge offers 11 chalets and rooms, with a maximum capacity of 20 guests, ensuring an intimate experience. Each of the 8 Superior Suites includes an outdoor shower and private deck, while the 3 Standard Rooms are designed for comfort with interleading options for families. All rooms are air-conditioned, with some providing views of the river, adding to the unique experience of staying at Umkumbe.

Umkumbe Safari Lodge Riverside boasts regular wildlife sightings, including elephants, hippos, and the Big Five-elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo. Daily guided game drives transport guests in open 4x4 vehicles, providing 360-degree views of the surrounding wildlife.
