the location was acceptable. the private beach access to the lake proved convenient.
the room had a musty smell, indicative of dampness. the furnishings in the ground-floor rooms was outdated. this created an unwelcoming environment.

The private beach access was AMAZING!!! I appreciated the convenience of easily accessing the lake. The breakfast room offered a paradisiacal view directly overlooking the small island with the tower.

The breakfast was good, with a decent variety of options.
The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, unacceptable. The air conditioning barely worked. The room remained uncomfortably warm even with the system running constantly. The Wi-Fi signal was weak and unreliable.

Really good Lakeside Stay

The hotel had its own boathouse providing access to the lake. I used the complimentary hour of rowboat rental (plenty of time to reach the island!). The breakfast was generous, it included local delicacies, and the breakfast terrace offered postcard views.
The gym equipment needs some tlc. A couple of machines were out of service.

The suite was spacious and beautifully decorated, showcasing the historic charm of the building. A highlight of the suite was the balcony, providing awe inspiring views of the lake and mountains (i spent hours out there!).
