The breakfast included quality bacon and a good pot of tea. The room included all the facilities I needed. The bathroom was great, and the design had a charming traditional British Victorian atmosphere.

The initial entrance is quite steep. A lower car needs to take it slowly.

the room was spacious and very clean. i was impressed by the cleanliness and traditional victorian atmosphere. all the facilities i could possibly need were present in the room. tea and coffee facilities were also very welcome (i enjoyed it!). the breakfast was really good. it was all cooked to order. the dining room was very quaint. check-in was very easy. the hotel was beautiful and serene. the room was well decorated and the bed was comfortable. it was easy to find the location. parking was easy, too. the host was helpful. the breakfast service was good. this offered excellent value and was close to local pubs. the cooked breakfast was great and made to individual order. i found it very relaxed. access was easy and the location is great for local attractions. the parking was right outside the rooms and that was handy in the rain.

underwhelming stay

black mouldwarm duvet

the room was warm during the night i turned off the heat and opened the window but the duvet was too warm i found no other option besides no duvet which then was too cold at that time of year. i also noticed black mould in the bathroom although the shower worked fine the grout on the wall tiles outside the shower had black mould. it was quite off-putting the extraction fan needed cleaning which can cause the mould.

the check-in process was very easy.. the room was clean. breakfast was very good with several options. the location was quiet and also close to restaurants. there was enough parking spaces on site. the guest lounge was available, even though i did not use it.

i found only three tea bags in the room.

The cleanliness was subpar. Shower dispensers had excessive mold, shower gel showed it too. Linens and curtains need washing. An email to them detailing these issues received no response.
