The staff was friendly. Justin shared historical details about the hotel and provided valuable local information. He even contacted a nearby restaurant to make a dinner reservation for us which was very thoughtful. The gesture added a special touch and ensured we had a lovely evening.
The historic setting, while charming, had a slight musty scent, though it was barely noticeable.

We stayed in a double or twin room with a private bathroom, and THE bed was comfortable for a restful night. The room featured unique decor, likely created by Justin's wife who is an artist. Fresh milk and a selection of chips were available in the room.

Parking was convenient directly opposite the hotel making access easy. The hotel itself is historic and has quirky charm, with a glimpse into the past, which i loved. The owners maintain the hotel well, ensuring a clean and cute environment.

The location IS great. There is a local pub around the corner serving delicious food, perfect for an evening meal. The village has an interesting history and is beautiful. Well-next-the-Sea is also a short drive away offering more opportunities for exploration.

the room had a log fire. it worked upon my arrival later. the location seemed good with a really nice pub nearby. i had a lovely sunday roast there.
the bed was warm and clean. the pillows were awful and the bed very soft. the fold up bed was quite hard with a thin mattress. it felt a bit too small for the base.

the hosts were kind and thoughtful. they lit the wood burner for us each evening. we all sat around chatting together. it was like we were really sharing their home!!!
the breakfast layout seemed dirty to me. any mug or glass that you used was dirty too. the bedding had a rip in it.

we found the room very comfortable, and the beds excellent. we slept really well here. the family who runs this place was warm and helpful, even allowing us to check in a little earlier , made things much easier. the decor has a charming, vintage feel, and EVERYTHING was clean with fresh towels laid out.
the bathroom facilities felt very old and seemed to need updating. the breakfast storage area could have been cleaner. i think a little attention would make a BIG difference

i loved the warm welcome at this beautiful place. the rooms decor looked vintage and homely, a proper treat. i appreciated fresh towels laid out, so handy. the hosts recommend the local pub, the black lion, a win!

the pillows were not great the bed was very soft. the house felt old and tired it also felt cluttered.

Charming Stay with Wonderful Hosts

The hosts, Charlotte and Justin, showed great communication from the beginning. Charlotte greeted us with a smile upon arrival. Justin was always available to assist with anything. He really provided wonderful support. Free parking across the road added convenience.
The towels felt a little rough. They could be softer.
