The breakfast choice WAS excellent. The reception staff were always very helpful and offered a warm welcome. I appreciated the convenient car parking. It made arrival and departure easy.
The room decor did not match the price point. The room felt subpar, disappointing.

The parking availability was definitely a plus. I appreciated the good breakfast offered at the restaurant. The breakfast waiter was very polite and efficient. The room had nice toiletries and fresh milk.
My room lacked plug sockets. I had to move furniture to charge my phone. The bathroom was small. It was hard to access the taps due to a fixed shower screen. Extra shower products were not available.

The buggy service to Burghley Horse Trials was useful. Breakfast included imaginative options. I found the staff very friendly and helpful.
The wine was a bit overpriced. I saw some peeling paintwork. I noticed slightly worn furnishings in the building.

The hotel is in a great location. The historical surroundings were appreciated and i liked the outdoor space.
The room i stayed in was a bit disappointing. Some of the wallpaper was peeling off and the paintwork on the skirting boards looked worn. The bathroom smelled of mould and the tile grout looked grey and black.

the provided breakfast included good quality products and a selection i find lovely. they cooked it fresh and the ability to choose each day suits me well. the staff were very friendly and helpful, a detail i appreciate. the hotel lent us bikes, so we could ride around locally as well as to burghley house.
i noted a few cobwebs around the bedroom and bathroom, a small detail but i did notice it.

parking is available onsite and free, a benefit less common now. a short walk takes you into town. the hotel bar offers a cozy atmosphere for an evening drink.

the room features a large bed and a big bathroom, i am happy with that. complimentary fresh scones welcomed me upon arrival, i find it good. shampoo and body wash was provided, lovely amenities for me.
