a magical step back in time
amazing character friendly host quiet location historic adventure
this hotel had amazing character. the host, ian, was very friendly and provided helpful breakfast tips. i enjoyed the unique atmosphere and the quiet location a short walk to the high street. the hotel seemed like stepping into history with adventure at every turn.
the lighting felt dim in some areas, and pathways were lit mainly by fairy lights. it was part of its charm, but better lighting could improve navigation slightly. i did enjoy the experience overall.

enchanting stay
unique features cosy atmosphere
the suite was full of unique features. i loved discovering new trinkets in every corner of the rooms. it felt cosy and magical throughout my stay.
the lighting was quite dim. i found it difficult to navigate some of the pathways in the dark. better lighting would greatly improve safety and comfort.

the accommodation offers a dvd player with many films. guests will also find board games to enjoy in common areas. there is a microwave, fridge, and toaster, alongside ample cutlery. this adds convenience for in-suite dining and entertainment.

unique decor great advice comfortable stay
i loved the decor.. it really transported me to another world. ian gave great advice about places to visit. the merlin suite had everything i needed for a comfortable stay.
the pathways had some uneven spots, so i needed to watch my step.

ian gave clear arrival instructions. he suggested local spots for dining. the suite had character. it seemed like a step into history. the location is close to the shops. i found a village cafe. it served very good food. i enjoyed the local pub nearby.
the pathways have fairy lights. some of the pathways are uneven.
