Fantastic stay. Great location!

beautiful gardens attractive rooms good quality bedding
I enjoyed my stay. The gardens are beautiful and very attractive public rooms! My room was very clean, nicely decorated, and the bedding was good quality. The hotel is on a quiet country lane with a surrounding area perfect for peaceful walks. The staff were cute and very accommodating. It created a cheerful atmosphere. I would definitely return!
The restaurant service felt a bit disjointed. The cold room affected my experience, side wood strips were coming off the table. Providing white tablecloths could elevate dining.

The location is amazing. I walked directly into the forest from the hotel garden! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room had a teapot, which I definitely loved, and a huge waterfall shower. Dinner was delicious, especially the Saltimbocca Chicken, the best meal ever!

noticeable bed springs worn bathroom
The room was a little disappointing. The bed springs were quite noticeable, and they made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I could feel them digging into my back. The bathroom also looked a bit worn, with some cracked tiles and fixtures that could use updating. It was not the relaxing experience I was hoping for bad sleep quality, worn bathroom

a serene escape

tranquil setting comfortable bed excellent care
The lodge gardens extended directly to the new forest. This provided a tranquil setting, a real escape from city life. the hotel manager greeted me warmly. I felt immediately at ease. my room had all expected facilities and a very comfortable bed. i watched the staff work seamlessly to ensure all guests received excellent care. the food was delicious. I would return just to dine there if i lived closer.
i noticed the decor felt a bit dated with old furniture and some minor issues. taps had missing parts and one toilet hinge was broken. also, some electrical sockets didn't work properly. it slightly diminished the otherwise positive experience.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant offered a varied menu. I noticed vegetarian options were available. breakfast service started early, at 7:00 am, convenient for early risers. a full english breakfast was an option, i noticed. the dining area had large windows, this allowed for ample natural light during breakfast.
Service
9/10
Reception operated 24 hours, ensuring assistance was always available. i saw staff members fluently conversing in english and another language during check-in. room service was prompt. My requests were fulfilled quickly. the staff provided helpful directions to local attractions. I found that convenient.

cracked sink moldy shower screen
The bathroom in my room was a mess. I spotted quite a bit of mold all over the shower screen. The sink was cracked and there were bits of wood nailed on sloppily. I was pretty disappointed, especially since I had traveled a long way. I expect much better for the price, and the lack of attention to cleanliness really detracted from my stay.
