convenient stay near ueno station

the hotel's proximity to the train station proved convenient! we found ourselves just a short walk from exit 3 of ueno station. its direct access to nearby malls and ueno park via the overhead bridge simplified our exploration. the presence of a convenience store just two minutes away was a definite plus.
the room size was notably small. it required careful maneuvering around our belongings. we also only received two bottles of mineral water during our entire stay.

The hotel receptionists were prompt and efficient. They communicated clearly in english. check-in and check-out processes proceeded quickly. the female check-in staff was helpful! her english was very good.

mixed feelings about the stay
technical issuessmall room
the self-check-in kiosks were more trouble than they were worth. i constantly encountered technical issues, it took about a half hour just to check bags. the staff ended up helping anyway, it would have been smoother if they handled it directly. the room was also small. it reminded me of a cheap mattress and hard pillows.

the hotel is close to the train station. a shopping and dining area is nearby. access to the hibiya line was also convenient..
housekeeping wanted us out of the room to make it up one day. this person seemed unaware it had been done the day before.

basic stay with some drawbacks
small roomdusty corners
the room was smaller than i expected. my suitcase barely fit open on the floor, so i had to keep it on the bed when packing. also, i found dust in the corners of the room and even on the toilet paper holder. i did not expect this from a chain hotel.
