Acceptable but with Issues
great locationdusty roomdirty windows
The location was great and everything I wanted was within a short walk.
I found the hotel in need of refreshment. The room was very dusty (I noticed accumulated dust on radiators and corners). The windows weren't washed and were very dirty inside and out.

the front desk staff were very helpful upon my arrival. i learned three suites were available, and the duty manager offered to show me each option. this thoughtful touch allowed me to see the wonderful decor and amenities in each room.
the air conditioning was quite noisy during the night. i also found the mattress protector to be an uncomfortable, rubbery plastic type. these issues did impact my sleep quality.

The restaurant food downstairs was excellent with really good staff. I found some markets in the morning that did a bicycle tour of the wineries. The location has proximity to the Marine Parade (very nice).
The hotel is surrounded by roads and there is traffic noise.

mixed feelings, i guess

the location was fine, near some stuff. its existence was not a complete disaster.
the air conditioning sounded like a dying whale, it did. there was very little space in the bathroom. the mirror placement made shaving an adventure, and not a fun one. i found myself wishing for a better designed room.
