I really loved the resident's lounge. It had such character. the fully equipped kitchen was convenient. the gardens were very well-kept. there was a short walk into the village which meant parking wasn't a stress!!!
i did notice the decor, though fantastic, was perhaps a tiny bit dated.

the house sits in its own grounds and has surrounding fields. the grounds have a well-kept garden. it made for a peaceful atmosphere and lovely scenery, with easy access to walks and nearby attractions.

the breakfast was really good i loved the beautiful grounds they were peaceful the staff were helpful and friendly. the house has many interesting features it was like home and i felt looked after
the charm faded quickly when dietary requirements were raised i pre-declared them but the hotel seemed unable to accommodate them

i loved the communal living space. it was a nice surprise. the kids enjoyed many board games. the staff was super helpful and friendly. i also had cooked breakfast it was great! i enjoyed stepping back into a period country house, so exquisite.
the place did not give keys, so our room and front door were open all time.

cozy stay with beautiful views

the host showed such a personal touch, she showed us to our room. she also spent a few moments to introduce us to her amazing home. we could maximize our time there. the guest kitchen downstairs was a wonderful addition. it allowed us to make food for our hikes and store fresh food in the fridge.
the charm faded quickly when we raised our pre-declared dietary requirements. the owner met our polite reminder at check-in with a theatrical sigh. it was followed by an eye-roll. accommodating our needs required too much effort. so unhelpful and lacking grace.

my beautiful room included a four-poster bed. there was also a roll top bath. the decorations and furnishings were sumptuous and added to the room's charm. the bed was very comfortable. it gave me a restful sleep each night.
