our arrival was so pleasant, the staff offered immediate assistance with luggage. the superior double room had a wonderful view of the flowing stream. the room also featured luxury local toiletries and a very comfy bed with crisp bedding, a lot.
the car park can get a little crowded during peak hours, so it is better to arrive early.

the service was excellent. every staff member was friendly and helpful. they really couldn't do enough, from check-in to departure. the team clearly values guest satisfaction and goes above and beyond.

Really good Stay at a Wonderful Location

This was our third visit. I had a lovely one-night stay after a long walk. The bar offered Wainwright Gold, perfect. Room 17 faced the Lakeland landscape, a view I enjoyed. Dinner had really good service.
The cheese board was poor. It was unbelievably disappointing, and embarrassingly meager. I did not expect such a low quality selection.

the room was comfortable and had plenty of space, great for me and my dog. breakfast was amazing, it really set us up for the day. the staff were friendly and very helpful. i wish i had booked a longer stay.
the cheese board on the food menu was unbelievably poor, it's a little embarrassing.

The service in the bar was not good. the seating system seemed inefficient. Customers felt overlooked. i think the bar area needs a better approach to manage guest flow. because this is one of the few places to eat there. More attention should be paid to customer service.
