i enjoyed the hotel's quiet setting. the breakfast was a highlight. the local ingredients were cooked very well. the steak and ale pie was tender. it was very fulfilling.

i booked a high tea over the phone. it was for my mother's birthday. when we arrived, the door was locked, it had been overlooked and there were no refunds.

the breakfast was made to order! i filled in a sheet with everything i wanted and submitted it the day before. the breakfasts and dinner were really good. i received an email from the hotel, asking if i wanted to order dinner for my arrival night. i received the menu and could order before i arrived and had dinner that evening.

the umbrella in the wardrobe had a label reminding guests it was for hotel use only, misplaced punctuation.

I stayed in a beautiful double room balcony. The room was VERY spacious and well kept. The balcony offered a nice view. I found parking convenient with ample spaces available.

The wifi signal was unreliable, often disconnecting. I had to request a room fan due to the lack of air conditioning. It was a HOT night. I found the signage a bit excessive with too many 'do not' notices around.
