Fantastic Stay at a Charming Inn
convenient parking helpful staff good touch
I enjoyed the convenient parking at the adjacent Manor House Hotel. A short corridor connects the two properties. The staff was helpful, assisting with luggage to my second-floor room since there is no lift. I found a cute teddy bear with a 'Do Not Disturb' sign. A good touch.
The bar area was a bit crowded. It felt more like a doctor's waiting room on one evening.

My room was very clean and quite comfortable. It offered a relaxing space. Tea and coffee making facilities were available. Plenty of hot water was available in the bathroom.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. They ensured all my needs were met. I found Kelly, the manager, to be particularly warm. She made my birthday nice. The team working one evening was superb. Their service was excellent.

Breakfast was provided in the conservatory. There was a good selection of options. I appreciated the extensive drinks menu. It offered great choices. I also enjoyed dining in the restaurant one evening. The meal was superb.

clean room friendly manager
The room was superb, sooo comfortable and spotlessly clean. kelly, who i think is the manager, was warm and friendly. She really made my birthday more nice!!!
The staff on the first night were not cute. They were very brisk.

flavorful prawns garlic butter extensive menu creaky bed frame dirty floor struggling plants
i enjoyed my meal here. the prawns from the specials board were flavorful with garlic and chilli butter. i also appreciated the crusty sourdough (it was great for soaking up the sauce!). the drinks menu had a lot of choices.
the bed frame in my room was quite high and very creaky. turning over in bed created a lot of noise (very disconcerting!). the floor in the conservatory looked dirty. some indoor plants looked like they were struggling to survive.
