Excellent Stay and Amenities!

The hotel provides convenient free parking directly outside. The ramparts, located next door, offer an excellent circular walk with expansive views. I enjoyed that. I was kinda surprised to discover a large, wood-panelled bedroom overlooking the back gardens. This room also featured a TV with BBC News 24. a bathroom offering a decent bath and a large separate shower enclosure.
The room smelled slightly damp. That was my only issue.

The hotel features areas suitable for eating and drinking outdoors amidst lovely grounds. Guests can find tea-making facilities in the rooms, always appreciated. Electric car charging is available. This is a significant benefit.

The staff proved friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to fulfill our needs. I had a wonderful experience! The restaurant provided delicious meals, and the sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine. That really added to the dining experience.

Excellent Restaurant and Dog-Friendly Touches

i found good free parking just outside the building. the location is excellent because it is next door to the citadel and the ramparts. these make for an excellent circular walk with fine long views. the staff welcomed our dogs and provided treats and a ball for them. it was a lovely touch.
i should have asked for another room because there was a problem they should have warned me about in mine.

the hotel has beautiful gardens, a terrace allows sitting, reading, or drinks. the restaurant has modern appointments with a good menu and food quality. our room included a large wood panelled bedroom and overlooked the back gardens. a tv offered bbc news 24. the bathroom featured a decent bath and enormous separate shower enclosure.
i learned on arrival the hotel changed hands twice. i booked and paid for private parking, i found a derelict lot with overgrown garden about 150 metres away. i parked amongst the weeds.

the restaurant felt modern and well-appointed with a diverse menu available. i noticed breakfast was good, comparable to my last time here. the sommelier recommended a bottle of wine to complement the meal.

I stayed in a different room this time. It had a large, wood-panelled bedroom. It overlooked the back gardens. A TV has BBC News 24. The bathroom included a decent bath and an enormous, separate shower enclosure. I discovered a large dressing room. It had loads of hangers.
I found out the hotel had changed hands twice since my last stay.
