The location was perfect for local walks. Our room had water in the fridge. fresh milk for tea and coffee. The pub welcomed dogs. My Jack Russell enjoyed it. The food was great. The homemade lasagne stood out.

superb Location and friendly staff

the location was superb! the canal was very beautiful and the towpath very good for walking. parking facilities WERE excellent. the staff were very friendly and helpful.
the tv WAS limited. there were no hooks in the bathroom, INCONVENIENT.

Lovely Stay

The staff greeted me warmly and showed genuine hospitality. The location was ideal for exploring the area on foot. My room had complimentary water and biscuits, a nice touch. The pub offered a diverse selection of local beers and tasty food at a good value.
I noticed the bedroom door closed automatically with a slam, it was very noisy.

Fantastic Pub Stay!

This pub, established in 1801, has a warm and cute atmosphere. I loved the bar area and the restaurant. Fresh flowers adorned all tables. I was so happy with the recently refurbished bathroom and comfortable single beds! The staff were helpful and came in early so I could have breakfast before heading out.
The bedroom door had an auto-closer that slammed shut and was quite noisy.

The food looked amazing. I saw a pizza and pint offer for £10. That's really good value! Breakfast had excellent scrambled duck eggs. There was a hearty food at a reasonable price point.

The car park was large and easy to find after the long drive.
The bedroom door had an auto-closer. It slammed shut loudly. It was quite annoying . This needs fixing ASAP!!!
