I received an upgrade, the restaurant exceeded my expectations, and the room was very comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful when I needed assistance. Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh pastries. I found the experience to be really good, a blend of modern amenities and a distinct sense of place (I really appreciated it).
The bathroom was small for a beautiful bedroom. The shower glass was short, so water went all over the floor after showers. I ended up sitting on the floor in front of the wardrobe to do my hair.
