underwhelming experience
undercooked roast potatoslacking options
i booked the festive feast, it was on a sunday. it cost £55 per person. the hotel looked beautiful and it was decorated nicely. however, the options were lacking for that price. roast potatos were undercooked. i didn't see any pigs in blankets.

i stayed in an estate patio room! the room was spacious. it was lovely to walk straight onto the patio with a view of the grounds. the grounds were great for a morning stroll. the fox bar offered a really good wine list in an atmospheric setting! the breakfast was excellent in the potting shed.
i didn't feel we had a very nice welcome at check-in. the decor could use some updates.

The location offered easy access to local attractions, and i found the grounds beautifully maintained. reception staff were always available, providing helpful assistance with directions and information. my room service orders arrived promptly and were always accurate. The food was warm. the hotel ensured a consistently clean environment, which i especially appreciated.
i noticed that the wifi signal was occasionally weak in certain areas of the garden.

the hotel boasts extensive grounds perfect for peaceful walks. accessing the hotel was straightforward. it is conveniently located near major roads, so traveling was easy. nearby, i noticed several well-kept walking trails that added to the appeal.

the spa area offered a serene environment, promoting relaxation. i found the gym well-equipped with modern machines. the availability of ample parking spaces throughout my visit was convenient. there were clearly marked accessible routes, ensuring ease of navigation for all guests.

adequate stay, some issues encountered
flat beerkitchen extractor
The room faced the kitchen extractor fan. It smelled of cooking. i was disappointed by the lack of choice for non-alcoholic drinks. the beer i ordered was flat. these issues detracted from the overall experience. the staff did not seem to care much about complaints, frustrating.

the hotel grounds had beautiful manicured lawns. the staff provided great care with dietary needs and intolerances. vegetables served came directly from the hotel garden. it was sustainable and fresh.
the hotel room only had a small fan, not air conditioning.

the breakfast buffet had so many options and a excellent variety. staff were friendly and efficient. the meal in the fox bar was great with bao buns and prawn tacos. the haddock was crispy.
wi-fi only worked in part of the room and was patchy and the phone service was limited.
