i stayed there and the room was very big. it had great wardrobe space for all my clothes. the bathroom was large, it included a great shower, i loved it!

The executive double room was spacious. It featured a very comfy, large bed. The bathroom felt luxurious and massive. The food in the restaurant was superb. I found free parking opposite the hotel.
The carpet in the bedroom was a little thin. the room was super clean.

The hotel had a great location. It was very central. The large bed in the room was comfortable. The shower was large and fantastic.
My room wasn't serviced . The room had a poor, awful view. I found it impossible to relax because the hotel was next door to some kind of theatre school.

The building retained many original features including a superb lift. The room included plush carpets and a very comfortable large bed. I found easy car parking on site. I particularly enjoyed a full English breakfast, it was one of the finest I have had in a hotel.
The shower water wasn't very powerful.

the room had a gorgeous big bed that was so comfy. i found lovely toiletries in the bright and fresh bathroom. the tv had a good size screen and plenty channels. the tea and coffee selection was very good quality also it came with complimentary biscuits.
the room door key failed to work. i needed to return to reception two times for assistance. an employee mentioned the fob "wipes" if near a phone, i thought it was rather unusual.

onsite, the restaurant and bar offered a superb food. i found the food was beautifully presented. being vegan, it is difficult for me to eat well when traveling, but this exceeded my expectations.

the location is perfect to visit the lakes, despite its surrounding area. i easily traveled to kendal and bowness in one day. the hotel was easy to find. a bonus was the free parking opposite of the building.

adequate stay with heating issues

no heatingripped curtains
I stayed for three nights. the executive room lacked heating. That was a big problem. restaurant staff tried to help, but it didn't work, i was told managers would call about another room but that never happened. also, housekeeping did not empty bins or refill milk .
