excellent stay in a historic setting
really good locationcomfortable roomsfriendly staffcharming character
the hotel has an really good location near the town center. i found the rooms to be very comfortable and clean. the staff were friendly and helpful . i particularly enjoyed the authentic building with its charming character it was a pleasant experience altogether
the road closures made it difficult to reach the hotel i received no instructions on navigating around these closures. the walk from the car park was frustrating as a result of this i wish i had received better guidance

The breakfast area offered spacious seating. It accommodated solo travelers and large families equally well. A towel warmer in the bathroom helped dry items quickly. Umbrellas were available for guest use during bad weather.
The staff did not offer help with luggage on arrival. They also would not valet park my car. This differed from my past experiences at this location.

I liked that the staff was so helpful with directions. the location was perfect for exploring, right in the heart of everything. fine views greeted me right from the balcony. the breakfast had ample choices, i especially liked the variety of fresh fruit. It was a cheerful way to start the day.
the bathroom shower was a bit old. there was no place to hang the shower head. this made quick showers a bit tough and the bathroom floor got wet

The staff was friendly and always ready to assist. I found the location excellent. It was close to everything. The breakfast offered a great variety of options. My room was very nice and clean. It provided a comfortable space after a day of exploring.
The walls seemed a bit thin. I could sometimes hear noise from the hallway.
