Decent hotel for a cruise layover

The check-in process was seamless. Carol at the front desk was courteous and efficient. I received a complimentary late checkout because I had a late cruise boarding time (i appreciated that).
My biggest issue was with some of the staff. A man at the front desk was not attentive during my early morning checkout. He did not acknowledge my departure. It would be great if all staff members showed the same level of professionalism as kathleen.

The pool area has lots of seating, which I found very convenient. The included breakfast was amazing!!! It had a lot of options. The location is also good to the Port and airport.

Steven, a GREAT host, was very personable at the restaurant. The restaurant HAS been updated, and it looks fantastic. The shuttle service to the cruise port was cheap and easy to schedule.
The carpet in the common area on my floor wasn't vacuumed .

The location IS close to the cruise port and airport. It also has shopping and dinner options nearby, that's a huge plus. The hotel's location made it easy to explore the area.

The staff was friendly and helpful, THAT really improved my experience. Kathleen at the front desk was especially helpful during check-in, setting a positive tone to start. The hotel personnel gave the best service I could have asked for.
