My room was the Superior Double Room. I especially appreciated the underfloor heating in the bathroom. It was very welcome. I found the bed very comfortable, and slept well. The wifi was secure and very fast, made checking emails for work easy.
I've been for drinks there several times. It's always been busy with nice staff and a good atmosphere. This time, the grass was not cut and the place looked untidy. I ordered some drinks so we could sit outside. The total was £27, including a service charge.

The staff were friendly and helpful (i noticed that).
I was unhappy with the breakfast. It had a set course of one sausage, a pot of scrambled egg, and a mushroom. This also included a pot of granola and sourdough bread. There was no other option, and it cost £25, with an additional charge for orange juice.

The room had a desk which was helpful for working. The blackout curtains ensured the room was dark at night. The shower had good water pressure and temperature control. The water got VERY hot!!!
