the location was convenient, especially with the train station across from the accommodation. i found the staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient . the breakfast was plentiful, offering many choices and well-prepared dishes.
the lack of modern conveniences, like air conditioning and usb charging points, was noticed. the limited menu in the restaurant also presented a challenge for dining options. the single-glazed sash windows did contribute to some noise and temperature fluctuations.

peeling painthard eggs
the breakfast was a bit of a letdown, i must say. my poached eggs resembled rubber bullets and the toast seemed to have merely glanced at the toaster. also, i spotted some peeling paint in the bathroom, a good decorative touch, i thought. clearly, a fresh coat of paint wouldn't go amiss, or maybe the peeling look is their version of 'shabby chic'? peeling paint, hard eggs
