dusty headboardoverdone breakfast
I found a lack of attention to detail somewhat off-putting. there was a noticeable layer of dust on the headboard, something easily rectified, i think. also, the cooked breakfast, while substantial, was slightly overdone for my liking. perhaps a little more care with the preparation would elevate the experience significantly. the absence of any decaffeinated coffee option at breakfast seemed a bit behind the times. A minor oversight, i grant you, but still.

I appreciated the breakfast arrangement. It allowed ordering the evening before. The self-service for cereals, toast, and coffee worked efficiently. I found plenty of room to park the car. I also found the location great, near the town.
The room lacked drinking glasses.

The owner was friendly and helpful with local knowledge. I felt welcome. He provided good advice on travelling in Scotland (very useful for planning my trip).
