convenient stay near the station

the location was a short walk from the train station. the rooms maintained cleanliness. breakfast offered a good selection of items. the owners provided a ride to the train station on a rainy morning. i appreciated this kind gesture, it made my departure easier.
the floorboards creaked. sound insulation between bedrooms could be better. this made it somewhat noisy at times.

the guest house is near the city center. it is also conveniently close to the ferry terminal. this makes travel to nearby islands quite accessible from the accommodation.

the owner was friendly and cute. they allowed an early check-in, this was helpful after a long journey. they also offered helpful information about local attractions, a plus.

Acceptable but not excellent experience
faulty remotepoor insulation
I had issues with the room . The television remote did not work properly, so I struggled to change channels. Staff did try help, but I still couldn't watch BBC channels. sound insulation was bad. I could hear plumbing noises and neighbours clearly, what made relaxing difficult.

i had a twin room bathroom. the rooms were clean. i liked the radiators were on. it was a bit chilly even in summertime.
the sound insulation between bedrooms was poor. this resulted in some noise.
