Acceptable Golf Trip, Lacking Service
rude waiter slow service
The location proved excellent for trips to Oakham and Rutland Water.
I encountered rudeness from the restaurant staff. The waiter walked away mid-conversation when I asked for a clean knife.. This behavior and the slow service really detracted from the stay, a shame after a long day.

underwhelming stay
poor service no cctv
the evening meal was quite disappointing the service was slow too. overnight, some clubs were stolen from a vehicle parked outside. there was no cctv in the car park, a surprise to me. apparently, this kind of incident is not as rare as they claim it is

wonderful stay
quiet location golf course view indoor tables outdoor seating
the location proved quiet and offered a relaxing experience. the view from my room looked out over the well kept golf course a pleasing sight. i found the bar area pleasant with a good number of tables indoors. a nice seating area outside allowed guests to enjoy the surroundings.
the wifi connection was a little unstable at times.

lovely stay on the golf course
golf course tea facilities comfortable bed
i enjoyed great views onto the golf course. the room offered tea and coffee making facilities. the bed was huge and comfortable. the staff was friendly (maisie especially).
the pool table required 50 pence pieces, however, i couldn't get any from the bar.

good options clean accommodation pleasant staff
the breakfast selection had a good variety. the staff, including maisie, caitlin, and lottie, addressed our needs well. the accommodation was very clean with ample tea and coffee.
the pool table required fifty pence pieces and the bar did not provide change.

Fantastic Golf Break
great condition very good rooms
I found both golf courses in great condition. The staff and rooms were all first class! Gilly Ward was superb. She helped ensure all aspects of our break were covered. The organisation of the event was relatively simple, I must say.
The food was disappointing. My chicken breast in tarragon sauce was so dry I couldn't swallow it! The boiled vegetables looked like they had been cooked and kept warm for hours, a pity.

The location was excellent for exploring nearby attractions. The hotel gave easy access to Oakham, Stamford, and Rutland Water! I was really pleased with how central it was.

The bar was well stocked! The hotel has 2 eighteen-hole golf courses. There are also nine practice holes for golfers to hone their skills before heading to the main course.
