the double or twin room was very spacious. i found the bed comfy and the bathroom included a large bathtub. we received a complimentary bottle of champagne with a dessert. the air conditioning worked well and the room offered adequate sound proofing.
the hotel could benefit from some updates. some wear is visible but does not detract significantly from the overall experience. i believe maintaining its character is essential during any refurbishment.

the breakfast was acceptable, i suppose.
The state of disrepair annoyed me. The carpets looked ripped and the walls looked dirty with marked wallpaper, it was not a pretty sight. there was a strong, off-putting odour permeating the place, ugh. the furnishings felt uncomfortable. The bidet crammed the toilet nearly under the sink, what a design disaster.

my room was spacious and included a nice bathtub. breakfast did include a good variety of options. the front desk staff helped me with directions, and i really did appreciate this help.
the sound isolation between rooms are not good. i did hear guests next door, and it was noisy. the furniture looks worn, i did notice.

my upgraded room offered ample space. the bed provided excellent comfort and the bathroom included a large bathtub. i received a complimentary bottle of champagne and a lovely dessert upon arrival. the air conditioning worked efficiently and maintained a cool environment. the room was soundproof.
the wifi signal was intermittent at times.
