mixed feelings on this stay

the staff was friendly enough, i guess. the hotel did have a mall nearby and the area seemed safe enough.

the room i had was really showing its age. the shower head wasn't adjustable, so taking a shower was a bit of a hassle. the breakfast buffet was not great, the scrambled eggs tasted like they had been sitting out for hours and the pancakes were hard, like hockey pucks.

I was a little disappointed with the dining experience. the restaurant lacked a certain ambiance, it needed better lighting and some artwork (maybe a few more plants!). also, i felt the staff wasn't fully empowered to resolve issues. My feedback was met with apologies, but there wasn't any real effort to compensate for the inconvenience. i was also a bit annoyed because the door keys often didn't work, it required several trips to the front desk.
