The villa showed some signs of age, disappointing. There was a noticeable mildew smell, and some paint was peeling in the bathroom (I'm not a fan of old bathrooms).

the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful when available, at least.

The villa felt very dated and poorly maintained. The furniture was old and dusty, and the air conditioning in part of the villa didn't work, a source of great annoyance. repeated calls for repair over two days resulted in nothing being fixed. this meant we couldn't even use the downstairs area of the villa.
