i booked a standard double room. upon arrival, i was given a smaller room. the bar staff was not very attentive. plus, there was a power cut , it was unexpected!

I enjoyed a delicious breakfast cooked to order. The staff were lovely throughout the hotel, always helpful. My room had nice bed linen. I requested a balcony with a view and I watched boats passing on the River Shannon. I took lovely walks along the river banks.
there was noticeable road noise including at night. I think the door to the balcony could be soundproofed better. My room was close to the road.

The continental breakfast offered a great selection of items. The full Irish left me full. I found the food in the restaurant varied and delicious, offering something for everyone.

Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Betty was particularly attentive. She ensured we had everything we needed. She constantly topped up our coffee.
