The house has ample parking spaces. The rural location is beautiful. Hosts gave a warm welcome. I received a full English breakfast that was hot and perfectly cooked. I found the hosts to be friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
The walk into the town took a bit longer than expected.

The hosts gave me a warm welcome. my bedroom was filled with light, comfortable, and possessed a lovely outlook. the hosts were helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
the location by the level crossing meant i could hear the north york steam trains pass, which might bother some guests. it woke me up one morning early.

breakfast offered a really good choice of food. the room was comfortable and quiet. i found the location perfect for a short, flat walk along the pavement into the town center, about fifteen minutes. the stream next to the hotel gave it a lovely, peaceful atmosphere.
I noticed some slight overgrown gardens. Not a major issue though.

I booked a Double or Twin Room, but it had some issues. The television didn't work, a real disappointment after a long day. the room had a distinct musty odor, a problem I noticed immediately. It really impacted my stay negatively. The staff didn't seem too concerned when I mentioned these issues.

decent stay, but some issues noticed
musty odorawkward layout
i noticed the gardens seemed less maintained than expected. the hallway had a MUSTY odor. this smell actually lingered on my clothes, quite unpleasant. the sink was oddly located in the bedroom, rather than the shower room. i did NOT appreciate that layout at all
