The staff are very polite and explained everything clearly. They ensured all my needs were met and that everything required was provided promptly. The breakfast was top notch and the customer treatment was excellent. I was impressed by the level of personalized service.
I noted the absence of a fridge in my room, which would have been a useful addition for storing drinks and snacks.

the staff were friendly. they were really good too ensure my stay was nice. the breakfast offered a great variety. i found the freshly cooked options especially good! the setting of the hotel is fabulous. i could see the grounds extend to the lake from my window, it was so beautiful.
the car park being located right in front of the rooms was a little disruptive.

The outdoor seating areas offered fine views of the surrounding hills. I used these every afternoon. parking was easy and convenient, with ample space available. i didn't need to worry about finding a spot at any time.

the hotel offered direct access to hiking trails, a significant advantage for exploring. the boat service stopped directly at the hotel, and it provided easy access to nearby attractions. keswick was a walkable distance. made exploring the town easy.

my double room was spacious and mostly clean. the bed was very comfortable. the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. i had a wonderful view from the hotel window of the grounds.

Breakfast included a good selection of options. fresh ingredients were used. i especially enjoyed the bird feeders outside the large windows. It was fascinating to watch the birds. dinner was really good. it was a hearty end to a day of hiking.

the breakfast included many choices i adored. quality bread for toast was excellent and i savored porridge with oat milk.
the room thermostat did not work, therefore the room was too hot.
