Authentic Ryokan Experience

I found the staff kind, we were offered to store luggage after checkout. We visited a missed shrine. The staff demonstrated the washing machine. The staff spoke English well, beneficial if you have limited Japanese. The onsen welcomed people with tattoos.
I noticed some slight wear in the facilities, giving them a dated feel.

The large tatami room featured water views and comfortable futon bedding. A nice cotton yukata and a generous tea set were available. I particularly appreciated the wood detailing and the cedar aroma that helped me sleep well.

The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the ferry port, roughly ten minutes from the temple. The onsen is open until midnight, and I found it clean. There is also a shop in the hotel that sells yukatas.

The staff offered breakfast restaurant recommendations, which I found helpful. They told us the onsen was open to all, including those with tattoos. They also drove us to the ferry station during heavy rain. I felt welcome.

I liked that staff stored luggage before check-in time. The japanese-style room was spacious. The staff prepared beds while we were out. The hotel's location was close to ferry terminal and quiet streets, which I appreciated.

EXCELLENT stay in a traditional Ryokan

The staff members were REALLY helpful. They even picked up our luggage from the ferry terminal so that we could maximize our time (so convenient!). I also enjoyed the traditional Japanese dinner, it pushed me out of my comfort zone. OH, and the onsen was SO relaxing!
