Authentic Ryokan Experience

kind staff luggage storage washing machine tattoo friendly
I found the staff kind, we were allowed to store luggage after checkout. We visited a missed shrine. The staff demonstrated the washing machine. The staff spoke English well, beneficial if you have limited Japanese. The onsen welcomed people with tattoos.
I noticed some slight wear in the facilities, giving them a dated feel.
Rooms
9/10
The large tatami room featured water views and comfortable futon bedding. A nice cotton yukata and a generous tea set were available. I particularly appreciated the wood detailing and the cedar aroma that helped me sleep well.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the ferry port, roughly ten minutes from the temple. The onsen is open until midnight, and I found it clean. There is also a shop in the hotel that sells yukatas.
Service
10/10
The staff offered breakfast restaurant recommendations, which I found helpful. They told us the onsen was open to all, including those with tattoos. They also drove us to the ferry station during heavy rain. I felt welcome.

ryokan stay Was so good

luggage storage spacious room staff service convenient location
I liked that staff stored luggage before check-in time. The japanese-style room was spacious. The staff prepared beds while we were out. The hotel's location was close to ferry terminal and quiet streets, which I appreciated.
The facilities felt dated, though everything was clean.
Dining
9/10
The hotel offered a japanese-style dinner. It also had a breakfast with much variety, which I enjoyed. I recommend trying both options. These features enhanced my cultural experience.
Location
9/10
The hotel is located near the ferry terminal, it was a short walk. This proximity made arrival easy. Several temples were also accessible from the hotel, this was convenient for sightseeing.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel offers onsen facilities. Yakuta clothing is provided to wear. I found THIS very useful. The public bath was very clean.

EXCELLENT stay in a traditional Ryokan

helpful staff convenient luggage pickup relaxing onsen
The staff members were REALLY helpful. They even picked up our luggage from the ferry terminal so that we could maximize our time (so convenient!). I also enjoyed the traditional Japanese dinner, it pushed me out of my comfort zone. OH, and the onsen was SO relaxing!
