Nyala Safari Lodge consists of 5 thatched rondawel chalets designed to blend with the surrounding bushveld. Each chalet is equipped with indoor and outdoor showers, air conditioning, and luxurious bathtubs in four of the units. Guests enjoy high-quality Egyptian cotton linen, while spacious private patios provide direct views into the bush or garden.

At Nyala Safari Lodge, guests can savor gourmet meals prepared with locally sourced produce, offering a unique dining experience. Optional boma dinners take place in an elevated area overlooking a floodlit waterhole, allowing guests to dine under the stars. Activities

Two game drives are provided each day, with morning departures at first light and afternoon outings when nocturnal animals are most active. Guided drives allow guests to observe the Big 5 in their natural habitat, expertly led by experienced rangers. Optional bush breakfasts and sundowners add to the adventure of the safari experience.

Location

Nyala Safari Lodge is set in the Balule Nature Reserve, a Big 5 area that shares unfenced borders with Kruger National Park. The lodge is accessible via a 40-minute transfer from Hoedspruit Airport or can be reached by self-driving from Johannesburg. The scenic journey potentially allows for glimpses of wildlife before arriving at the lodge.
