the location next to the cable car was excellent i started each day with breakfast the staff was friendly the hotel offered a tasty sandwich when i returned from a hike the kitchen was closed but they still accommodated me

Excellent Stay at the Foothills

I stayed three nights and chose the bed, breakfast, and dinner package. My bedroom was spacious and included an excellent bathroom and twin sinks. The quiet lounges were great I could sit and read a book. The buffet breakfast offered a great choice of food and dinner was also very good.
The walls and floors seemed quite thin, I could hear noises from other rooms.

The hotel is near a cable car. The rooms were big with enclosed balconies. Communal spaces allowed for good relaxation. The restaurant offered a good menu and the staff were friendly I found.
I noticed a few minor things. The furniture and bathroom decor was a bit tired.

the hotel has easy parking right outside which was very convenient. i enjoyed a tasty sandwich i was offered when i returned from a strenuous hike, a kind gesture since the kitchen was already closed. the breakfast buffet presented many choices of cheeses and hams to choose from. the staff were all helpful and friendly making the visit excellent.
the hotel is in a bit of a time warp it gave the impression it needed updates.

The location was amazing. the included parking was a HUGE help, especially after navigating those winding mountain roads. our room was spacious and clean. It seemed like a true sanctuary after a long day of exploring the peaks!!!
I wish the restaurant had more staff. The wait times could be quite long. it's a small issue, but noticeable.
