the room was comfortable and boasted beautiful toiletries. fresh milk was provided in the fridge, a nice touch i really appreciated. dinner was AMAZING!!! the restaurant is spacious, and the lighting created a great atmosphere. the staff were friendly and chatty, a relaxing experience all around.

I noticed a slight lack of clarity with the final invoice. It didn't specify how much the gift voucher covered.

the staff was friendly and polite (a very nice touch). the room had a dyson hairdryer, a nespresso machine, and a fridge. i found the bathroom to be excellent. the quality of the food was also quite good.

the chair was too low, as was the sofa in the room. on arrival, there was nobody around in the evening. i managed to find one person who served me at the bar and then disappeared, so i spent several minutes looking for someone if i wanted another drink.

The room was clean and spacious. The bed provided me with comfort. Breakfast included sufficient choices for my needs.

The older bar gentleman argued with my partner. This behavior is not acceptable in hospitality. I found black marks and mould in the shower. This indicates a need for maintenance.

i found many thoughtful touches at the hotel. deliciously scented toiletries were available, alongside a great range of teas and coffees (i especially liked the selection). packaged chocolate truffles and biscuits were a treat. i was pleased with the slippers and dressing gowns.

i booked afternoon tea, and the finger sandwiches tasted nice, but they were very cold. they seemed recently removed from the fridge. the scones were also dry and heavy (i think they could improve this).

broken shower headchaotic service

the shower head attachment was broken in the room. it took two reports before it was repaired. meals were also disappointing. the food tasted like it wasn't freshly cooked and was often dried out. breakfast service felt chaotic. plus, a sneaky 10% service charge was added to the dinner allowance without clear prior notification. it felt a bit under par for a supposed 4-star hotel.
