An Oasis of Calm
helpful staff comfortable bed hot shower
Staff was very helpful arranging tea in the evenings. The building and my room was even better than the photos. I found a good standard of cleanliness throughout the building. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom included a hot, powerful shower.
The stairs are very steep so you need to be careful.

Breakfast was delicious, staff prepared it nicely each morning. The menu featured local pastries and fresh fruit. I could also order tea or coffee with breakfast, which started the day off perfectly.

cat urine sprayed furniture
the staff was helpful (i guess that's their job). they gave us coffee when we arrived.
The room smelled strongly of cat urine. It was really off-putting. the balcony furnishings were sprayed by cats, i even saw it happen. a freshly changed pillow had been urinated on. I only discovered this after sleeping on it all night. (Yuck).

Wonderful stay at a Charming Riad
detailed tour earlier breakfast delicious appetizers
The staff was very friendly. Othmane checked us in and gave a detailed tour with a map of recommendations for the area. Abderahman made sure we were all set for an earlier breakfast. Chef Najat prepared the most delicious appetizers, chicken tagine, and dessert for dinner.
The riad requires a deep cleaning. Some seating areas in public places didn't feel clean. I also noticed larvae swimming in the upstairs pool.

The many plants created a calm atmosphere. I found the sound of birds to be a nice touch. The riad provided a hairdryer the same day I asked for it.

Breakfast was a typical Moroccan selection. It featured flatbreads, honey, marmalade, butter, and eggs. Orange juice, coffee, and tea were also available each morning.

The staff was helpful. Amina and Zohair were especially helpful. I appreciated their responsiveness and attentiveness at every moment.

charming stay!
helpful staff detailed map fresh juice tranquil space
i found the staff particularly helpful with directions. they offered a map and marked key locations (souks and restaurants). the breakfast included fresh juice and pastries daily. the courtyard provided a tranquil space, sheltered from the city sounds. luggage transport was available with a golf vehicle.
the pool was a bit small.

urine odor swimming larvae
The staff were very kind and helpful (i appreciated that a lot!).
I was disappointed by the strong odor of cat urine throughout the hotel. It permeated the seating areas and even seemed to affect some of the furniture in my room. the upstairs pool contained larvae, so I could not use it.

The staff were attentive and helpful. They helped me with directions and suggestions. I also appreciated the beautiful plants and garden, a wonderful peaceful retreat. The breakfast featured authentic local food with subtle variations each day.
