attentive staff tasteful room convenient location limited closet impractical feature daily garbage
i found the staff attentive. the room was tastefully decorated, i loved the building's design. its location in gion was really convenient. we even encountered geishas nearby at midnight.
There was no closet space. It proved inconvenient for my longer stay. i found some attractive features not entirely practical. operating the inner curtains for daylight was a bit complicated due to the bed placement.

small room tiny bathroom
The location was acceptable, especially its proximity to many local restaurants.
I was quite disappointed with the size of my room. There was hardly any space to even open my suitcase. I had to open it in the hallway which was not ideal at all. There wasn't a cupboard either, SO I had to leave my clothes in my suitcase. The bathroom was TINY too. I kept dropping things in the toilet.

small room daily cleaning
The lack of daily room cleaning annoyed me (I expect a tidy room!). Only towel changes were offered daily. The room size was SMALL. Fitting luggage was a puzzle. Maneuvering around was difficult. I have stayed in multiple hotels in Japan, and this was definitely the smallest.

thoughtful extras luggage transfer enchanting gion
i appreciated the thoughtfulness evident in every aspect of my stay. the lobby featured thoughtful extras available for free , if needed. the staff helped arrange my luggage transfer, offering assistance with yamato. the location allowed easy exploration of the enchanting gion district.
the room lacked sufficient soundproofing, which impacted privacy. i could hear noises from outside the room clearly. this.
