a mostly fine experience
great location friendly staff cold room stiff pillows
the location was pretty great. its especially beautiful during a frosty morning in winter. i also found the rooms to be very clean. the staff was friendly.
the room ended up being too cold, this cause all of us to catch a cold. the bedding was old and the pillows felt hard, so we were not comfortable.

good service great choice damp smell window problem
The staff was amazing. The scenery was beautiful. The breakfast was good. I appreciated the great service and choice.
The windows could not be opened. There was a damp smell. I also noticed lots of condensation.

empty minibar poor soundproofing
I found a few things less than stellar. The minibar was empty. I expected at least some water. The soundproofing wasn't great. I could hear noise from nearby rooms. It was like listening to my neighbours' conversations through a tin can. No one wants that kind of intimacy on a trip so it became a bit annoying.

decent stay, some letdowns
underwhelming breakfast uninspiring view
the building was quite lovely.
i found breakfast fairly underwhelming. additionally, our room faced the rear of the hotel, a view i did not find inspiring.

Lovely Gardens and Food!
pretty gardens good bed lovely person
Hotel gardens appear pretty. The room contained a good bed I liked. I dined in the restaurant and enjoyed the Thursday menu a lot. Claire served me breakfast, I found her lovely and accommodating.
The windows did not open. there was lots of condensation in room. The room smelled damp.
