the castle grounds were beautifully maintained , a true pleasure to walk through. the staff impressed me with their consistent friendliness and attention to detail. i found the evening meal really good , i especially enjoyed the presentation of each course.
i noticed a very slight delay once when ordering a drink at the bar , but it was quickly resolved.

Really good Stay at a Historic Venue

The gardens are well kept. They offer a relaxing environment. Debbie was efficient. She provided excellent service throughout my stay. The bed in my room was comfortable. It also offered a lovely view. The restaurant was charming. It provided excellent service during both dinner and breakfast.
The room was located on the top floor so I had to climb four flights of stairs to get there.

The front desk staff were unhelpful. I requested a different room upon seeing ours, but they said all rooms were booked. No price reduction was offered, despite this being the worst room I have ever seen.

The Yockleton Room included everything I needed. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast and the service were both excellent.
The receptionist did not offer assistance with my bags. I had to climb four flights of stairs as my room was on the top floor. The lack of a warm welcome spoiled the experience.
