the pools were perfect. i found the staff to be friendly. the room was spacious and very clean.
the ventilation in the gym barely worked in the early morning. there was almost no fresh air. the hotel itself felt quite old and poorly maintained, with visible signs of wear.

the staff was professional (especially gimhan) and kept my room very clean and tidy every day. the hotel has a great, international standard golf course, a favorite in sri lanka. the hotel grounds are vast.
i noticed the pools closed rather early, restricting enjoyment of the holiday. when the hotel is very crowded, the pools become insufficient and overly crowded. i feel this does not reflect the standards of a 5-star hotel.

our room was beautifully designed and spacious. it had comfortable beds and a super clean bathroom. the terrace overlooked the garden, and the sounds of the jungle could be heard day and night.

the hotel is vast and felt exclusive. guests are greeted by traditional musicians and a glass of fine liquor. even the car is parked by a valet, a nice touch (i appreciated the extra care).

the breakfast was great chef rathnayake was attentive he catered to my specific requests i appreciated that the gym had lots of machines my partner played golf the pools are big clean and well staffed my little one loved the slides
the hotel felt dated some facilities were poor the pool table in the golf bar was in very poor condition it had no tips on the cues hire clubs for the golf were old i felt the hotel was not worth its price
