solid stay in the heart of the park
helpful staffamazing restaurant
the restaurant was amazing! the food tasted great. the front desk and restaurant staff were most helpful. i appreciate they booked shuttles for the tongariro crossing for me.
the room walls were a bit thin. i could hear some conversations.

the hotel has a restaurant and a bar. the location is great for hiking. they arrange a shuttle to the tongariro trail head, only 15 minutes away from here.

the location is indeed super convenient. i appreciated direct access to trails. the lounge bar provided a relaxing atmosphere after a day outdoors.
the room was very dated. the sink was actually located in the bedroom, a rather unusual setup. i found the walls between rooms to be quite thin.

the restaurant impressed me it had an excellent lamb shank dish and attentive service. the hot tub and sauna were very welcome after my long hike. the staff were very friendly and they readily assisted with my needs for the tongariro north circuit hike. the location of the hotel offered lovely views of the mountains
i noticed some slight wear and tear in the building but it did not impact my overall experience
