poor housekeepingbathroom cleaning
I was looking forward to my stay, but several issues arose. our beautiful twin room had poor housekeeping. It was not cleaned properly . i saw dust in the room and the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. it reminded me of a corner was cut there. this fell short of expectations for a hotel of this supposed calibre. i expected better attention to detail.

location is decent, but some issues
central locationbroken air conditioningcost-cutting
the location is quite central and convenient for getting around. (not that i did much of that)
the air conditioning did not work , it was quite uncomfortable. i suspect they might be cutting corners (or are just too cheap) to fix it. this made sleeping difficult, especially given the summer heat.

The location was excellent. i found it easy to walk to many attractions. the breakfast had great service and a large selection (especially the pastries). the staff were very helpful. They answered every question immediately.
the toilet was dirty upon arrival. also, the shower body gel dispenser was empty. the used towel i placed on the floor for replacement was put back for reuse (this was quite disappointing).
