The room was super clean. The check-in and check-out process was seamless. Public transport was a short walk away. The nearby streets and shrines allowed for exploration.
The room did not allow opening of the window. It became too warm despite the cool weather outside.

excellent stay in a well-located hotel

the room was very spacious and clean. it was the most spacious out of the three hotels i stayed at during my trip. the bed was comfortable and the pillows were supportive. the staff were very kind and helpful to us and spoke great english.
The walk to the hotel felt long with luggage, taking around 10-12 minutes from the station. the subway station nearby was very useful.

the breakfast offered a decent range of options with both fish and meat. i found it quite sufficient for starting the day because it had the essentials covered and provided a filling meal.

dirty windowscigarette smell
i found the passageway windows dirty with many spider webs. (i stayed on the second floor.) the cleaning staff smelled bad, a smell that spread across the entire floor. i chose a non-smoking room, yet a smell of cigarettes was present everywhere.

fantastic stay in a great location!

I found the staff very helpful, friendly ,and cute. the rooms were very clean, and daily housekeeping was provided when i asked. the hotel had excellent amenities. I had everything i needed for a comfortable stay. the beds were comfortable, and i especially liked the pillow options they had.
the closest convenience store was a little bit of a walk , about five minutes away.

the breakfast food items changed on different days , so i could enjoy lots of different styles of japanese food. there were many meat and vegetable options to choose from. it was a nice way to start the day.

The staff were great to talk to and their english was excellent. They were also very friendly. shipping luggage was very easy , and they made sure i could get my luggage to my next location. i really appreciated their help.

the hotel is pretty close to the shopping district , and it is easy to walk there. the hotel is also close to bus stops , a subway metro station, and a local train station. it was easy to get around the area from here.

The hotel is near two subway stations. It is also walkable to Higashiyama. The bed was comfortable (i slept very well). The room was neat and the bathroom was very clean.
There was a smell of cigarettes. I chose a non-smoking room. The breakfast had only asian food, so if you are not used to it there is nothing else.

I found the staff very kind and helpful (they spoke English well). I was glad they allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in. The air conditioning in the room worked very well for us. I appreciated that the room was spacious and clean.
The walk from the station with luggage took a bit longer than expected.

I loved how close this hotel was to everything. it was an easy walk to gion and nishiki market!!! the staff were super friendly and helpful, even assisting with luggage forwarding to my next hotel. i really appreciated the room size. It felt so spacious for japanese standards! the complimentary amenities were a great bonus, like the pajamas and toiletries.
the walk from the station felt longer than expected with luggage. it was more like 10-12 minutes instead of the advertised 8.
