The hotel is near two subway stations. It is also walkable to Higashiyama. The bed was comfortable (i slept very well). The room was neat and the bathroom was very clean.
There was a smell of cigarettes. I chose a non-smoking room. The breakfast had only asian food, so if you are not used to it there is nothing else.

I found the staff very kind and helpful (they spoke English well). I was glad they allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in. The air conditioning in the room worked very well for us. I appreciated that the room was spacious and clean.
The walk from the station with luggage took a bit longer than expected.

I loved how close this hotel was to everything. it was an easy walk to gion and nishiki market!!! the staff were super friendly and helpful, even assisting with luggage forwarding to my next hotel. i really appreciated the room size. It felt so spacious for japanese standards! the complimentary amenities were a great bonus, like the pajamas and toiletries.
the walk from the station felt longer than expected with luggage. it was more like 10-12 minutes instead of the advertised 8.
